Reimbursement Policy

This policy explains how approved reimbursements under the FTT Guarantee™ are issued.

Purpose

This Reimbursement Policy explains how approved reimbursements under the FTT Guarantee™ are issued. It supplements the Customer Guarantee Terms and is incorporated by reference into the FTT Guarantee framework.

The purpose of this policy is to ensure that approved reimbursements are processed fairly, securely, and efficiently while protecting both legitimate customers and FTT Technologies from fraud.

Approval of a reimbursement request does not automatically determine the payment method. FTT reserves the right to determine the appropriate reimbursement method consistent with this policy.

1. Approved Claims

Only reimbursement requests that have been approved under the FTT Customer Guarantee Terms are eligible for payment.

Approval remains subject to all applicable eligibility requirements, verification procedures, fraud reviews, reimbursement limits, and coverage limitations established by the FTT Guarantee framework.

2. Proof of Charge & Reimbursement Review

To qualify for reimbursement under the FTT Guarantee, the Member must provide reasonable documentation confirming that an eligible subscription charge occurred.

Acceptable proof may include one or more of the following:

  • Credit card or bank statement showing the charge.
  • Provider invoice or payment receipt.
  • Apple App Store or Google Play purchase receipt.
  • Email confirmation of the successful charge.
  • Other documentation reasonably requested by FTT to verify the transaction.

FTT will verify that:

  • The charge corresponds to the free trial monitored by FTT.
  • The trial was properly activated and covered under the FTT Guarantee.
  • The guarantee applies under the Customer Guarantee Terms.
  • The charge has not already been refunded or reversed by the provider or payment processor.

Where the provider offers a published refund policy, FTT may request that the Member first attempt to obtain a refund from the provider before FTT issues reimbursement. FTT may also assist in identifying the provider's published refund process where applicable.

Submission of proof does not automatically guarantee reimbursement. Each claim is reviewed individually according to the Customer Guarantee Terms and Reimbursement Policy.

3. Preferred Reimbursement Method

Whenever reasonably practicable, FTT will reimburse approved claims to the original payment method used for the disputed First Recurring Billing Event.

Examples include:

  • Credit card
  • Debit card
  • Digital wallet
  • Other supported payment methods

Reimbursement to the original payment method provides the highest level of security, creates a clear financial audit trail, and helps reduce fraudulent reimbursement activity.

4. Alternative Reimbursement Methods

If reimbursement to the original payment method is unavailable, impracticable, unsuccessful, or no longer supported, FTT may issue reimbursement through another verified payment method selected by FTT.

Alternative reimbursement methods may include:

  • Verified bank transfer
  • Supported digital payment service
  • Other reimbursement methods approved by FTT

The customer may be required to provide additional information to verify ownership of the alternative payment destination.

FTT reserves the right to determine the reimbursement method used for any approved claim.

5. Identity & Payment Verification

Prior to issuing reimbursement, FTT may require additional verification, including but not limited to:

  • Government-issued identity verification
  • Confirmation of payment method ownership
  • Verification of billing information
  • Documentation supporting the disputed charge
  • Additional fraud-prevention review

Failure to provide requested verification may result in delay, suspension, or denial of reimbursement.

6. Reimbursement Timing

Following final approval of a reimbursement request, FTT will use commercially reasonable efforts to issue reimbursement within thirty (30) calendar days.

Actual processing times may vary depending upon:

  • Financial institutions
  • Payment processors
  • Banking systems
  • Identity verification
  • Fraud review
  • Regulatory requirements

FTT is not responsible for delays caused by third-party financial institutions, payment processors, or circumstances outside FTT’s reasonable control.

7. Fraud Prevention

FTT reserves the right to delay, suspend, or deny reimbursement where fraud indicators, identity inconsistencies, suspicious account activity, or other risk signals require additional review.

FTT may require enhanced verification before releasing reimbursement funds.

These measures exist to protect legitimate customers and preserve the integrity of the FTT Guarantee™.

8. Additional Customer Responsibilities

In addition to the Customer Responsibilities described in the FTT Customer Responsibilities document, customers seeking reimbursement under this Reimbursement Policy must also:

  • Maintain an active FTT account in good standing
  • Complete any required identity or payment verification
  • Provide requested documentation within the required timeframe
  • Cooperate with reasonable fraud prevention procedures
  • Provide accurate reimbursement information when requested

Failure to satisfy these additional reimbursement requirements may delay, suspend, or prevent reimbursement.

9. Returned, Rejected, or Reversed Payments

If an approved reimbursement is returned, rejected, reversed, or otherwise fails due to inaccurate customer information, payment method closure, financial institution action, or other circumstances outside FTT’s reasonable control, FTT may require updated payment information, additional verification, or both before attempting to reissue reimbursement.

FTT reserves the right to suspend or delay reissuance while any discrepancies, fraud indicators, or payment irregularities are investigated.

10. Final Determination

FTT reserves the right to determine the reimbursement method, verification requirements, and timing of payment consistent with the Customer Guarantee Terms, this Reimbursement Policy, applicable law, and reasonable fraud prevention procedures.
