Customer Responsibilities

What you need to do to stay protected.

Shared Responsibility

*FTT has responsibilities. You have responsibilities.

When both parties fulfill their responsibilities, FTT is able to provide the highest level of protection possible.

This document explains exactly what is required of you.*

FTT handles the automation. The actions listed in this document are limited to those that cannot legally or technically be performed by FTT on your behalf. They are not burdensome. They are necessary.

## Your Responsibilities at a Glance

Here is everything you need to do to stay protected under the FTT Guarantee:

  • Use your FTT Shield Email™ for every managed subscription
  • Complete identity verification before enrolling subscriptions
  • Respond to Action Required Notices within the specified timeframe
  • Keep your FTT subscription active and in good standing
  • Keep your registered email current and notifications enabled
  • Provide accurate information at all times
  • Submit claims within 14 calendar days of a disputed charge
  • Cooperate with documentation requests within 14 calendar days
  • Comply with the FTT Terms of Service

Each responsibility is explained in detail below.

1. Use Your FTT Shield Email™

Every subscription you want FTT to manage must be enrolled using your assigned FTT Shield Email™. This is the unique email address FTT uses to identify, track, and manage your subscriptions.

  • Always use your FTT Shield Email™ when signing up for a free trial you want FTT to cancel
  • Do not use a personal, work, or alternative email address for managed subscriptions
  • Subscriptions enrolled with any email other than your FTT Shield Email™ are not eligible for the FTT Guarantee

Why this matters:

FTT cannot identify or manage a subscription it cannot see. Your FTT Shield Email™ is the link between your trial enrollment and FTT’s management system.

2. Complete Identity Verification

You must complete government-issued identity verification before any subscription becomes eligible for the FTT Guarantee.

  • Complete identity verification promptly after account creation
  • Verification is required once per account and may be requested again at FTT’s discretion
  • Subscriptions enrolled before verification is complete are not eligible for the FTT Guarantee

Why this matters:

Identity verification protects both you and FTT from fraudulent activity. Unverified accounts carry zero Guarantee coverage.

3. Respond to Action Required Notices

Occasionally, FTT will send you an Action Required Notice. These notices are time-sensitive. Your response is necessary for FTT to complete the cancellation process on your behalf.

Examples of actions you may be asked to complete:

  • Identity verification or re-verification
  • CAPTCHA completion
  • Two-factor authentication
  • Provider confirmation or account access
  • Any other provider-required step that FTT cannot complete on your behalf

Each Action Required Notice will specify the response timeframe applicable to that notice. Timeframes vary depending on the urgency of the required action.

Important:

Failure to respond within the timeframe specified in the notice may void Guarantee eligibility for that subscription. FTT cannot initiate cancellation if a required step remains incomplete.

4. Keep Your Account & Notifications Current

FTT communicates with you through your registered email address and the FTT platform. It is your responsibility to ensure FTT can reach you when it matters.

  • Keep your registered email address current in your FTT account settings
  • Keep your registered email current and enable notifications from FTT so you can receive important Action Required Notices and Guarantee updates
  • Check your FTT dashboard regularly for outstanding actions or status changes

Why this matters:

Action Required Notices are time-sensitive. If notifications are disabled or your email is outdated, you may miss a notice that voids your Guarantee eligibility for a subscription.

5. Maintain an Active FTT Subscription

The FTT Guarantee applies only while your FTT account is active, paid, and in good standing.

  • Keep your FTT subscription current
  • Subscriptions managed during a lapsed, cancelled, or suspended account period are not eligible for the Guarantee
  • Reinstatement of your account does not retroactively restore Guarantee eligibility for subscriptions that lapsed during inactivity

6. Provide Accurate Information

You are responsible for providing accurate and complete information at enrollment and throughout your account.

  • Provide correct subscription details when enrolling a trial for FTT management
  • Keep your account contact information current
  • Do not misrepresent subscription details, billing amounts, or provider information

Why this matters:

Inaccurate information prevents FTT from managing your subscription correctly and may void your Guarantee eligibility.

7. Submit Claims Within the Required Timeframe

If you believe FTT failed to cancel an eligible subscription before billing, you must submit a reimbursement request promptly.

  • Submit your claim through the FTT platform within 14 calendar days of the disputed charge
  • Claims submitted after 14 calendar days are permanently barred, regardless of the circumstances
  • Include all information requested in the claim submission form

Important:

The 14-day claim window is strictly enforced. FTT does not extend or waive this window. Act promptly if you believe a charge was incorrectly assessed.

8. Cooperate With Documentation Requests

FTT may request documentation to verify your eligibility for reimbursement. You are responsible for providing this documentation in a timely manner.

Documentation FTT may request includes:

  • Invoices or billing statements from the subscription provider
  • Billing records or account history
  • Provider communications or confirmation emails
  • Identity verification documentation
  • Any other evidence reasonably related to your reimbursement request
  • Provide requested documentation within 14 calendar days of FTT’s request
  • Failure to provide documentation within this period may result in denial of your reimbursement request

9. Comply With the FTT Terms of Service

Your eligibility for the FTT Guarantee is contingent on your compliance with the FTT Terms of Service at all times.

  • Do not create multiple accounts to increase Guarantee eligibility
  • Do not attempt to manipulate, abuse, or circumvent the FTT Guarantee or management system
  • Do not engage in fraudulent, deceptive, or bad-faith activity
  • Do not transfer, sell, or assign your Guarantee coverage to another party

Important:

Violations of the FTT Terms of Service may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account and forfeiture of all pending and approved claims.

If you are ever unsure what action is required, your FTT dashboard will always display your current Guarantee Status and any outstanding Customer Responsibilities.
